Free Speech week recap

Last week was free speech week at Appalachian State University and WASU had the opportunity to air Tuesday night’s Panel Discussion “Freedom of Speech–Just watch what you say.” Moderated by Radio host and law professor Stuart Harris, the event features panelist members Dr. Michael Behrent, J. Spenser Darden, Jared Mark, Paul Meggett, Toussaint Romain and Gaby Romero.

Revolutionary Grain at Belk Library until December 15th

Revolutionary Grain, a traveling exhibit that began on October 15th, will be in the Belk Library until Saturday, December 15th. The exhibit is hosted by the Center for Judaic, Holocaust and Peace Studies and is intended to contribute to the ongoing societal conversations on racism, race justice and police violence.

Early Voting Sites in Watauga County

Six early voting sites throughout Watauga County will begin operating at 7 a.m. on October 17th, leading up to Election Day on November 6th. This is the first time in which all early voting sites will be open at the same times and for more than one week, due to a recent North Carolina mandate that passed.
