APP 1800: Take Back the Night with The Red Flag Campaign, OASIS, and the ASU Women’s Shelter

 

Join 90.5 WASU’s News Director, Maggie Harper, and Braxton Thompson, of The Red Flag Campaign to talk about the upcoming Take Back the Night event.

Take Back the Night will be held on Appalachian State’s Sanford Mall on April 26th, 2018.

Three Members of Migos’ Entourage Arrested in Boone

Three men in connection with the musical group “Migos” have been arrested following Thursday night’s concert. Boone Police noticed the smell of marijuana after the Migos performed at Holmes Convocation Center on Appalachian State University’s campus. The Migos’ tour bus was stopped on NC Highway 105 and according to the High Country Press, 420 grams of marijuana, 26 ounces of codeine, and xanax were seized from the tour bus. Three men of the Migos’ entourage have been charged with drug related offenses. It may be a long time before another rapper agrees to play a concert in Boone, NC.

App 1800: Appalachian State Playcrafters Present “New Play Festival 2018”

Join 90.5 WASU FM News Director, Maggie Harper, and guests Kenny Petroski and Kat Butte, as they discuss the upcoming New Play Festival. 

The New Play Festival is hosted by Playcrafters and will be held in the I. G. Greer Studio Theatre on Feb. 15, 16, and 17 at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for the general public and will be sold at the door a half-hour prior to each performance.
