The Intercollegiate Broadcasting System (IBS) is an organization with a membership of over one thousand non-profit, education-affiliated radio stations and webcasters. Each year, WASU submits staff and DJ work from our station to be considered for the annual IBS awards. This past December, the IBS award finalists were announced and we are proud to say WASU has finalists in FIVE different categories. Below are the finalists.
Best On-Air Personality: Michael "Midnight Mike" Edgerton
Most Innovative/Creative Programming: Lauren Wasmund with Mountain Mama Radio Hour
Best Radio Drama: TJ Oleson and Jake Smith with Pre-Recorded Live
Best Use of Social Media: Kiera Massi for 90.5 WASU FM
Best Phone App: Doug Brantz for 90.5 WASU FM
In March, these finalists have the opportunity to travel to New York City to receive their finalist trophies, as well as possibly be awarded category winners.
