Inauguration Day Schedule

Tomorrow, on Wednesday, January 20th, President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris will be sworn in at the United States Capitol. Afterwards, Biden will deliver his inaugural address, introducing himself as the 46th president of the U.S. The exact time of the inauguration is to be determined.


From 10-12:30 PM, there will be a livestream to celebrate young Americans. Individuals such as Keke Palmer and Dr.Jill Biden and other influential people will speak as well. The tradition, Pass in Review will follow, where the President-elect, First Lady, Vice President-elect, and the Second Gentleman will participate in a military tradition to honor the new Commander-in-Chief.


The honored individuals will then go to the Arlington National Cemetery to lay a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. At the event they will be joined by Barack and Michelle Obama, as well as President George W. Bush and Laura Bush, and President Bill Clinton and Secretary Hillary Clinton.


The President Escort will take place from 15th Street to the White House with every branch of the military present. The Virtual Parade Across America will be televised. The final event, airing at 8:30 PM will be hosted by Tom Hanks and will include performances and showcase the diversity of America. This 90-minute program will air on major television networks.
