The United States Senate appoints an ambassador to represent Venezuela. James Story was confirmed on Nov 18 and will work in the capital of Colombia, Bogotá next to Venezuela as they face an economic crisis.
Story will most likely connect this relationship again and prepare Venezuela for Biden’s transition. It has been 10 years since there was a United States ambassador for Venezuela.
